Hamilton!
Upon moving to the city of Hamilton, OH, I had no way of knowing how it would impact my life. Hamilton is a beautiful city full of amazing historic architecture and stories. The history found in the streets and grandeur of the buildings of the city captivated me, and I was inspired to put my own artistic spin on the landscape. The imagery I create is a way of combining the geometric style of architecture with an organic, emotive sense of place. I hope a whimsical feeling carries through each landscape, and tells the story of the space without obeying the rules of reality. I found that after creating a number of these pieces, I couldn't deny the impact of Thomas Hart Benton; one of my favorite artists from years ago.
